    Common questions

Is it really free? What's the catch?
It's free, with no signup, no rate limits, and no tracking on your visitors. The only ask is that the small "Powered by TheHandyCalculators.com" link stays in the widget — it's how we earn the right to keep the tool free. You can hide it with data-branding="false" if you embed via our configurator's customized snippet.
Does it slow down my page?
No. The script is loaded async and the iframe is lazy-loaded — it doesn't block anything and only renders when scrolled into view. Total weight added to your page is under 1 KB.
    Will it work on mobile?
Yes. The widget is fully responsive and fills the width of its container. The script tag version auto-resizes the height as the user interacts with the calculator.
Can I customize the colors to match my site?
Yes — open the widget configurator
What data do you collect from my visitors?
Nothing. The widget runs entirely client-side and doesn't set cookies, fingerprint visitors, or send their inputs anywhere.
    Can I use it commercially?
Yes. Embed it on a personal blog, a vet practice site, a breed club page, or a commercial pet-product site — all fine.

    Suggest a widget

If you write about dogs — breed guides, training, senior care, vet content — your readers want to know how old their dog really is. Give them the answer right on your page instead of sending them somewhere else.
